ATL and The Prince’s Foundation For The Built Environment join forces
ATL and The Prince’s Foundation For The Built Environment have joined forces with major stakeholders in the heritage environment to stop the decline in traditional craft skills which if left unaddressed will leave our fine heritage of listed building impoverished. Kicking off in March 2009, ATL and the Prince’s Foundation For The Built Environment have established a forum with key stakeholders including The National Trust, English Heritage and The Royal Palaces to identify which of the traditional craft skills that are essential to protect our fine heritage of listed buildings urgently need a new generation of craftspeople. ATL will then develop specialist courses and train new craftspeople to address this shortage.
