Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification of Electrical Installations
Leading to the City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 qualification
Testing and inspection is often a difficult subject for even the most experienced electricians. This course and qualification is designed to help new and practicing electricians fully understand testing and results in a qualification and certificate to prove competence to undertake the work. It is an essential skill and a suitable qualification for anyone undertaking electrical installations.
Description
The C&G 2392-10 qualification has been developed in conjunction with the electrical industry to provide less experienced candidates with an introduction of how to inspect and test (conduct the initial verification) of electrical installations before progressing onto the 2391-10 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations. During the course candidates learn how to carry out inspection and testing using various training rigs simulating real electrical installations. They are then given the opportunity to perform the inspection, testing and verification on an individual basis. Successful completion of this course and attainment of the qualification formally demonstrates a candidates understanding of the fundamental principles and practical ability required to inspect, test and carry out the initial verification of electrical installations to the industry approved standard.
Who it’s for
This particular electrical course is suitable for new or practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or more experienced electricians who want some additional training before attempting the City & Guilds 2391-10. It may also be suitable for those working in allied trades e.g. plumbing and heating engineers and kitchen fitters who carry out limited electrical installation work.
