But in the unlikely event you do fail a course, as long as you have completed the theory and practical training parts to your tutor's satisfaction, you can retake the course free of charge. It’s never too late to start learning or to continue your professional development. And help is at hand to help you pay for it too.
Some training also qualifies for government funding and grants and depending on the type of funding we can make the arrangements on your behalf, or where allowed help you apply yourself.
Government funding support
The college is an approved provider with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). If you are studying towards a recognised qualification, for example an NVQ at Level 2 or 3 there may be money available to help with the cost of your training. This includes Young People’s Apprenticeships, Adult Apprenticeships, Train To Gain, Adult Learning Grants and other grants and bursaries for adult learners. When you enquire at, or apply to the college for a course we will let you know what funding may be available towards tuition fees. We want to make it easy for you to pay for your training. If you want to learn, we want to reduce the barriers as much as possible. Financing your training doesn’t have to be a barrier. Subject to status, we offer interest free, easy payment terms on all our courses and assessments and we can advise on loans too.
