Inevitably there is some theory work in every training course, even a vocational one. But even that can be exciting and engaging.
Inevitably there is some theory study in every training course, but we believe people learn best by doing, so we keep it to a minimum and get you into the workshops on real appliances and rigs as quickly as possible.
When you are in study mode however we don’t follow the pack. With our unique partnership with Skills2Learn - the UK’s premier developer of virtual reality education applications even our theory work is exciting and engaging.
Wherever possible the college makes use of Skills2Learn’s and its own latest 2D and 3D interactive multimedia, audio, video and graphics to make study as stimulating as possible. Using virtual reality and interactive scenarios reflecting real world environments, you will investigate problems, visually inspect appliances (even the inside bits you usually can’t see), use test instruments and fix, amend and replace faulty parts.
This cutting-edge technology is a new and exciting way to help you learn skills and acquire knowledge. The virtual reality technology emulates the way appliances and systems work and respond in real-life and allow you to learn and practice in a safe environment before you carry out any practical work. It makes learning faster and fun and no more worrying about making mistakes!
